Abstract

All companies and foundations are competing to get high rank in Search Engine, because getting high rank means more visits and more conversions thus more income. Search Engine Optimization (SEO) is one of the topics that have a great impact today. SEO has a significant role in increase income, reduce ads cost and branding for any business. SEO is an effective tool which tells developers or digital marketers how to get high rank in Search Engine or what factors in their websites are important and they should focus on it. In this paper we proposed a SEO metric called (Q-rank) to measure ranking in Search Engine. This metric indicates website rank and which factor in website we should focus to improve the website rank. This metric (Q-rank) is depending on On-page factors and Off-page factors; this is introduced for the first time in [18] and we reused them here. Keep in mind previous works focused only On-page or Off-page. Our proposed metric has been evaluated on three groups of websites each from different domain. The results of Q-rank have been compared to k-rank from the state of the art besides the real search results obtained from Google search engine. The results show that the Q-rank achieves better order for the websites compared to the k-rank. It has very similar order for the websites to the order on Google.
